Dust Collector Bag

The DC1500 cyclone dust collector includes two filter types.  The first is the DC15105 weighted cloth filter bag.  Its purpose is to capture large particles and debris.  Any particulate passing through the weighted filter bag is then captured by the filter canister.  See the “Description” section below or more information.

Regular maintenance of your Cyclone dust collector is important and simple.  Above all else, safety is most important.  So, before starting, make sure you wear all appropriate safety gear such as goggles, respirator, and all other recommended safety equipment.  Your safety is your first priority and your responsibility.

After reviewing all safety information, separate the unit in half.  Once separated, remove  the dust collector bag and inspect both the bag and canister filter.  Finally, reassemble the unit and return it to service.  Many customers inquire about when to replace the filter bag and canister filter.  There is no definitive answer.  However, if after cleaning the filters still appear dirty or worn you should replace them.  Additionally, if you find that your cyclone dust collector’s performance is getting worse, this is also a sign to replace the filters.

Over time, most abrasive blasters and dust collector parts wear out.  This dust collector bag filter works with our DC-1500 dust collector.  The cyclone dust collector comes installed with a bag filter and a canister filter.  The purpose of the filtration is to prolong the life of the dust collector motor.
